VISUAL work

Ever since Laura was young she had a passion for drawing and as a child she won several drawing competitions. At the age of four, her drawing got featured in the local magazine of the village she grew up in.

Laura went to drawing school for six years at the Academy for Visual Arts in the city of Lier (BE), and later took figure drawing classes by Joris Thoné at Academie Noord in Antwerp (BE). At the age of 18 she started to work on commissions.

 

Drawing remained a constant in her life and as she went on to study dance and choreography at the ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem (NL). She continued to develop her drawing practice, worked on several commissions and focussed on the further development of her own work.

Laura frequently works with artists such as Tobias Wenting (NL), Daniëlle Huyghe (NL), Marcel Vermeulen (BE), Daniel Barkan (NL), Jasper Charlet (BE), Toon Quanten (BE), and I SOLISTI (BE). Apart from these commissions she is currently strongly focussed on developing her own visual work as well as the merging of her choreographic and visual practices.
